Stripe is a very popular payment processor and is AdvanceCM's preferred payment gateway for use with your business. It allows you to offer your customers the ability to make partial or full payments at the time of booking and fully integrates into the AdvanceCM dashboard.
One nice feature that Stripe has is the ability to store and re-bill a customer’s credit card as needed. For instance, if you currently charge a deposit in AdvanceCM, you can collect that at the time of booking and then charge the final balance at a later date without needing to obtain the credit card details again. Further, if your booking comes from Booking.com or Expedia, AdvanceCM will automatically save the credit card details of your guests to your Stripe account.
Stripe has no setup fees, no minimum term and a hassle-free signup process. Settlements are performed weekly and the service is very competitively priced. There are also no monthly fees or additional fees for refunds.
Connecting to Stripe
AdvanceCM makes sending invoices and accepting credit card payments easy and free. Create and send invoices with the click of a button and accept credit card payment online directly from the invoice through Stripe.
Here is how you can set up this feature:
Add Payment Gateways
Navigate to Settings > Payments
On the Payments Gateway page, click "Add Gateway".
Select the payment gateway of your choosing.
You will be prompted to sign into your Stripe account to complete the connection.
That's it! Your Stripe payment gateway has been added.
Use Payment Gateways for Invoices
Your AdvanceCM electronic invoices will automatically include buttons for "Pay with Saved Card" or "Pay with Card", once a payment gateway is added.
Your guests will now be able to pay their invoices directly through Stripe, and you’ll be notified whenever a payment is made.
AdvanceCM will automatically update your invoices to "Paid" if the guest payment was successful.
You will also be able to see payment details at the bottom of the invoice.
All payments will come directly to you and the money will show in your Stripe account instantly.
Use Payment Gateways for guests booked through Booking.com and Expedia
AdvanceCM saves your guest's billing details from Booking.com and Expedia to your connected payment gateway.
When a guest enters their credit card details, when making a booking on Booking.com and Expedia, AdvanceCM saves this information into your gateway for future use.
Checking for Invoice Payments
Once a guest's card is charged via Stripe, you can see the transaction in AdvanceCM by going to Settings > Payments then by clicking on the Stripe account and scrolling to the transactions list below.
Here, you will see the details of the transactions and whether they were successful or not.
If a payment failed due to incorrect details, insufficient funds etc, you can then go to the guest inquiry, navigate to the invoice and click Send Now - this will allow them to pay by re-entering credit card details.
Your inquiry status will update to "Paid" once payment has been successful.
