An Extra is used when property managers receive additional payments from guests by any method and want to record it in the system. By creating an entry under the Extras module, property managers can document these payments and, if needed, charge the guest using the Charge module.
You can access Extras by clicking the Finance icon in the left-side menu and selecting Extras from the available options.
Extra List View
The Extras list view includes search filters and an option to create a new Extra using the “Create Extra” button.
Extra Create View
Clicking the “Create Extra” button, as shown in the screenshot, opens the Create Extra view. Here, you can fill in the required fields such as Rental Name, Inquiry Name, Date, and Amount. Once all fields are completed, click the Save button to successfully create the Extra.
Extra Detail Overlay
Here, you will see multiple tabs, with the first tab labeled Extra.
At the bottom, you’ll find the Create Charge button, which allows you to instantly charge the Extra amount. Clicking the Create Charge button, as shown in the screenshot, will prompt you to enter the credit card details to charge the guest.
Click on the Add Billing Details button, and it will load the screen below. Enter the card details and click the Save button to complete the charge successfully.
Custom Attributes
This tab allows you to add multiple extra fields to the Extras module, enabling you to capture any kind of additional data as needed.
Click on the Attributes Configuration button, and you will be able to add various types of fields, such as String, Boolean, Number, and more.
Comments
This tab allows you to add multiple notes or conversations related to the extras paid by guests.
Logs
This tab provides the ability to view any changes made to the Extra record. Any additions or updates will be visible under the Logs section.
