Connecting to Flipkey/Tripadvisor with AdvanceCM

Tripadvisor/Flipkey is integrated with AdvanceCM through an iCal connection.

For two-way synchronization to work properly, you’ll need to both export your AdvanceCM calendar to Tripadvisor/Flipkey and import your Tripadvisor/Flipkey calendar into AdvanceCM.

Export AdvanceCM Calendar to Flipkey/Tripadvisor:

1. Navigate to the Channels module from the top menu bar.

   

2. In the Channels List view, click the + Add Channel button.

   

3. In the Channels Overlay, click the iCal tab, then choose Flipkey, and click the Connect button.

   

4. In the Exported Calendars section, click the green Add button.

   

5. Select the Rental you are exporting the calendar from.

6. Click Export.

   

7. In the popup, copy the URL.

8. Click Done.

   

In Tripadvisor/Flipkey:

1. Navigate to Calendar and click to open it.

   

2. On the subsequent page, click Import.

   

3. In the pop-up, select Other.

   

4. Paste your AdvanceCM iCal URL in the first field and give the calendar a name.

5. Click Import.

   

Your Tripadvisor account is now receiving events from your AdvanceCM calendar for this rental.

Next, import your Tripadvisor calendar into AdvanceCM.

When the sync is complete, you should see a pop-up window with your Export URL—click Copy Link, then Close.

Import Tripadvisor/Flipkey Calendar into AdvanceCM

1. In Tripadvisor: Navigate to the Calendar, click Export, and copy the Tripadvisor iCal URL.

   

   

2. In AdvanceCM:

   • Navigate to the Channels module from the top menu bar.

     

   • In the Channels List view, click the + Add Channel button.

     

   • In the Channels Overlay, click the iCal tab, then choose Flipkey, and click the Connect button.

     

   • In the Imported Calendars section, click the green Add button.

     

   • Give your calendar a name, select the Rental that should be updated with your Tripadvisor events, and paste the iCal URL from Tripadvisor.

     

   • Click Import.

Your AdvanceCM calendar is now updated with events from Tripadvisor/Flipkey.

Repeat this process for each of your rentals.

What to Expect Next

• AdvanceCM will import all your Tripadvisor/Flipkey bookings and blocked dates.

• All imported events will appear as Hold Events in AdvanceCM.

• iCal only synchronizes calendar availability—it does not sync rates or guest details. You must continue managing rates directly in Tripadvisor/Flipkey.

• You can convert Hold Events into full Bookings in AdvanceCM by clicking the event in your calendar and selecting Convert.
