Message Automation sends automatic emails, push notifications, or HTTP requests to guests based on specific conditions
Example: If a booking is confirmed then an email will automatically be sent to the guest as a booking confirmation.
How to access Message Automation?
First, access the Automations module from the top menu bar.
Then click on the + Add button on the right and choose the Messages option.
You can also access Message Automations from the Inquiries List View and the Messages List View by clicking on the Automation button. This will take you to an overlay to see all Message Automations, along with the option to create a new Message Automation.
Create a New Message Automation
After clicking to add a new Message Automation, a step-by-step overlay will appear to guide you through the options. The first step is to select an Event that will trigger the Message Automation when it occurs.
In the screenshot below, you can choose different events as mentioned below:
Booking Confirmed: This event means send a message to guest when booking status is marked as confirmed.
Booking Cancelled: This event means send a message to guest when booking status is marked as cancelled.
Invoice Created: This event means send a message to guest when invoice is created.
Invoice Paid: This event means send a message to guest when invoice status is marked as paid.
Invoice Cancelled: This event means send a message to guest when invoice status is marked as cancelled.
Guest Created: This event means send a message to guest when guest is created.
Guest Updated: This event means send a message to guest when guest is updated.
Guest Deleted: This event means send a message to guest when guest is deleted.
Channel Disabled: This event means send a message to guest when any specific channel is disabled.
Card Accept: This event means send a message to guest when linked credit card is accepted.
Card Rejected: This event means send a message to guest when linked credit card is rejected for payment capture.
Card Declined: This event means send a message to guest when linked credit card is declined for payment capture.
Card Deleted: This event means send a message to guest when linked credit card is deleted.
Rental Access Created: This is for integrated partners like Operto, When access code is created through Operto we use this trigger to send out codes.
Rental Access Updated: This is for integrated partners like Operto, When access code is updated through Operto we use this trigger to send out codes.
Smart Device Code Generated: This is for smart devices, if any smart devices code is generated then send message to guest. To know more about Smart devices, please refer to this help article.

The second step is to select the Action that will be executed for the booking when the trigger is activated. The following actions are available:
1- Send Email Message
2- Send Push Notification
3- Send HTTP Request
4- Send SMS Message
The third step is to choose the Recipient who will receive the notification (Email, Push, HTTP Request, SMS)
Step four allows you to choose the Channels or Rentals that you want this automation to be used for, if you choose none then by default it will be applied to all channels and rentals.

Message Activity Log
Open any Message Automation to view the Activity Log tab, showing when the automation is triggered.
Delete any Message Automation using the icon below.
Enable/Disable Message Automations using the toggle below
