Main Unit vs. Sub Unit Rentals
In AdvanceCM, Main Unit Rentals and Sub Unit Rentals serve different purposes within a multi-unit setup. The Main Unit acts as the primary listing that appears on booking channels, while Sub Units represent the individual rental spaces available for booking. This distinction affects various aspects such as rental settings, calendar management, rates, and channel synchronization. Below is a detailed comparison of their functionalities.
Rental Module
The Main Unit Rental has full access to all rental settings and tabs.

Sub Unit Rentals have restricted access and can only manage specific sections:
Calendar
Basic Info
Detail Info
Gallery
Rental Instructions
Custom Info
Rooms
Owner Access
Manage Tags

Multi Calendar View
Bookings, inquiries, and hold events cannot be assigned to the Main Unit. Instead, they are automatically assigned to Sub Units based on priority.
The Main Unit displays the total availability of its linked Sub Units (e.g., if a Main Unit "BeachSpa Resort" shows 3/3, it means all three Sub Units are available).

Sub Units receive bookings directly, while the Main Unit only acts as a summary of availability.

The Main Unit cannot be disabled, but individual Sub Units can be disabled, preventing new bookings for them.

Rates
Main Units can create and push rates to connected channels, including standard, dynamic, and group rates.

Sub Units cannot create or push rates; they inherit rates from the Main Unit.

Channels
The Main Unit syncs with channels like Booking.com (BDC), Airbnb, Agoda, etc. It appears in channel rental dropdowns.
Sub Units do not sync with external booking channels and are not listed in channel rental dropdowns.
