How to connect Hopper Channel with AdvanceCM?

Hopper Homes is Hopper's vacation rental service, launched in early 2022. It offers around 2 million properties globally via its mobile and web platforms. Hopper Homes operates as a channel in AdvanceCM, allowing you to sync and manage your rental listings directly with the Hopper platform.

How to Connect Hopper in AdvanceCM?

  1. Navigate to the Channels menu in AdvanceCM.

  2. Click the Add Channel button on the right side, or select Hopper from the left-hand menu.

This will open the Hopper Connection overlay titled Getting Started.

3. Enter a Name for your connection and your Hopper Email Address, then click Continue.

4. Next, you'll be prompted to Select Rentals. Rentals with data issues will have a Fix button next to them. Click Fix to view the issues, then resolve them one by one by clicking the Fix button for each row.

5. Once all issues are resolved, the Create button will appear. Click Create to activate your rental.

The rental status will change to Active, and the toggle will be enabled, indicating the rental has been successfully created inside Hopper.

6. Click Complete, and a success message will appear.

Note: If the Auto Active toggle is enabled in Hopper, the rental will automatically be active. Otherwise, you will need to manually activate the rental status in Hopper.

Push Rates & Availability

  • Click on the Connection Detail option to open the connection details overlay.

  • Availability is always pushed automatically whenever a booking appears in AdvanceCM. You can also manually push availability by clicking Push Availability.

  • Similarly, rates are pushed automatically, or you can manually push them using the Push Rates option.

Guest communication (configured within Hopper): Operations -> Automations -> Make sure the Hopper channel (or all channels) to your automations. Guests may also reach out to you from the Reservations & Emergency contact details you have added in the Hopper Host Portal -> Settings.
Payment: Hopper is the merchant of record and charges the guest. Payouts are made via VCC or ACH (more info and how to setup here).

- VCC: A Hopper credit card is sent to AdvanceCM for each reservation. AdvanceCM will automatically charge the card using your Stripe/Paypal integration on the day after check-in.

- ACH: Hopper sends the payment directly to your bank that has been added in Hopper on the day after check-in. Payment will reach your bank in the following 1-3 business days.

Note: The payment status in AdvanceCM will always appear as UNPAID, as Hopper does not automatically update this field. All Hopper reservations are prepaid by the guest.

How to disconnect connection?

  • Go to Channel Details.

  • Click Disconnect to sever the connection between AdvanceCM and Hopper.
