Creating templates that work universally across all your rentals and channels is essential for maximizing the power of AdvanceCM’s automation module. Since each event type now supports only one trigger, ensuring your templates are adaptable is more important than ever.
To provide even more flexibility, we’ve introduced Custom Codes—a powerful feature that allows you to create your own Data Dictionary items, so a single trigger can serve multiple needs efficiently.
How to Use Custom Codes
Access Custom Codes
Navigate to Settings > Templates.
Click on the Custom Codes button in the top-right corner.
Create Your Own Data Dictionary Items
Click +Add to define unique Custom Codes to store specific data points for your rentals.
Enter the details for the custom code.
These codes can be used within templates to dynamically populate relevant information.
How It Works in Action
Suppose you create a Custom Code named "FUN" for two different rentals.
For Paradise Lodge, "FUN" includes local attractions near that property.
For Forest Valley Resort, "FUN" includes a different set of local attractions.
When a booking triggers the automation, the template will automatically pull the correct details based on the rental associated with that booking.
